Children have so many dreams, many of which never come to fruition. Some dreams though are the kinds of things others take for granted, like being able to play a sport on a competitive team. For children with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities, that dream was even harder to attain. This reality truly bothered PT and Fitness coach, Tim Terrio, so in 2007 he founded the League of Dreams. The League is an adaptive sports league created so that no child feels left out – their many volunteers help with training and conducting competitive baseball and basketball games for children who are unable to play on teams at school.

The trainers at League of Dreams work hard to bring joy to the now hundreds of children with disabilities that sign up for their various programs, helping each of them feel included and accepted, all while teaching them valuable life lessons. They’re able to maintain a low fee for joining the League and provide opportunities for scholarships through donations from individuals, sponsors, and companies like us.
