Gisselle Alicia Guerrero (GG) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on February 14th, 2019.  The very next morning started a road to recovery. She has her port placed and received her first chemotherapy session. On the 29th day of induction, she had a bone marrow biopsy, which showed no more cancer cells. Though the initial scare may be behind her, her journey is not over. She has been hospitalized a few times for fevers, the flu, meningitis along with West Nile Virus.

Since GG’s diagnosis, her friends, family, and community have rallied behind her. The number of events around town to raise awareness for myself and this disease have been remarkable. The love and support has inspired them. As a result, GGtheWarrior was born. Their purpose is to help local children who have been diagnosed with cancer. The financial burden these families face is tremendous and so they dedicate themselves to “raising money to give back to more kids and families fighting cancer.”
